Does Singapore really deserve such a low ranking on the courtesy list? YES, i don't doubt that survey. Singapore deserves to be on such a low ranking.
Bringing that matter out to the public and off to the public transport, we see actions of selfish people. Does that reflect the bad upbringing of our population? Yes! There was this courtesy " lion " campaign going on, to give way to alighting passengers, with clear markings made on the platform. This campaign went on over a long period of time, but did the masses change? NO!
The MRT stops at Pasir Ris interchange for 6 minutes, but people just rush in all the same when they c the train stopping. Did they know they have to stay in the train for 6 minutes before the train starts moving? Did they spare a thought for commuters who are rushing for work when they were blocking their passage off the train? I guess the dumb people don't know these facts. I once saw a fat woman trying to squeeze her fat butt onto the seat when all the seats were taken up. THose poor people next to her had to squeeze, two person on one seats to accomodate that selfish idiot. They kept mum, they were kind enough to do that without embarrassing that brainless person.
Now moving on to buses, people always sit on the outside of the seats, along the aisle and placing their minute stuff on the inner seat. So are buses their GrandFather's bus? Do they really have a right to do that? Does an apple deserve a seat on it's own? NO. Kick those ppl off the bus pls.. N they just can't be bothered to move in deeper of the bus so as to stay closer to the alighting spot. Inconsiderate people...
I now deserve the title " the low ranking courtesy country " citizen over my name. We SO deserve it.
